Join the AEP Editorial Board February 3rd, 2025 The Antarctic Environments Portal is looking to renew its Editorial Board. The AEP links Antarctic science and Antarctic policy, by providing easy access to information on a range of scientific issues relevant to Antarctic environmental governance and management. Short Information Summaries are the most common type of publications on the AEP. Information that is available through the Portal is thoroughly peer-reviewed before being published. An Editor, supported by an Editorial Group oversees the review process and is responsible for ensuring information available through the Portal is accurate, apolitical and up-to-date. Workload Two to three times a year, members of the Editorial Board are asked to review Information Summaries usually aligned with their area of expertise. AEP Editorial Board Members skills: Experience writing or reviewing summaries on Antarctic science; Experience communicating complex concepts to a non-scientific, especially policy-making, audience; Knowledge in at least one of the Antarctic Environments Portal themes: Marine Human Activities Terrestrial Cryosphere Inland aquatic environments Atmosphere or general policy and/or communications expertise. Interest in being more involved in the science-policy interface of Antarctic science. Applications from Early Career Researchers (ECRs), women, and developing nations are encouraged.
